Holiday Essentials - Part One

Fashion for Thought, Nov 28, 2011

Many of us are already in a festive mood waiting in anticipation for the winter holidays. I love Christmas time not only because of snow, smell of fresh cut pine tree, caramel-flavored latte and endless gift exchanges... I love this holiday because it is my favorite time of the year when I can wear a lot of different outfits to Christmas parties and family dinners. There are so many choices and ideas! I want to share with you some of my "magazine-hand-picked" holiday trends.

Holiday Essentials

Black Fur - White and black have always been the classic color combination. They contrast and often complete each other. So when it's snowing on a gloomy and mysterious holiday night and everything is sparkling with crystal snowflakes put on some black fur! It can be a faux-fur jacket or a black fur collar on your coat, even a fur trimmed booties or a bag. Black fur is not only an extravagant and a classic item, it is also very warm and fluffy. It will transform any effortlessly picked outfit into the glamorous and wild-chic stylish look.

Glitter - Don't be afraid to experiment and even overdose on glitter. It's time to shine and sparkle. Think glittery sweaters, leggings, shoes and clutches. It is absolutely up to you to pick your favorite rainbow sparkles. Try mixing gold and silver with midnight-blue, pink, emerald green, yellow and red glitters. Fill your holiday nights with shine and merry!
