Krane by Ken Chow

Fashion for Thought, May 19, 2011

I couldn't resist talking about Krane, a new clothing line by Ken Chow featured in Toronto Fashion Week.

Decked out in their complex geometric threads, the male models also showed off some acrobatic skills as they flipped on and off of the accessory block. Krane's clothing was made up of various classical patterns of dark palettes with earthly toned accessories to match.

My kinda style.

So much so that I decided to do a Krane themed shoot.

When I first saw its first round on the runway, I instantly thought of how reminiscent it was of the grunge underground scene with a touch of aristocratic flair. Grunge is a classic style we'll never be able to get enough of with all of those smokey eyes and loose trends.

Fallen KittieI like to model. I'm quite versatile and lenient so pretty much anything goes for me; with art there's not much room for limits as photography is expressive to the soul. Well, at least to me anyway. I'm currently completing a degree at Dalhousie University, a double major in Sociology and Religious Studies. Though that might be a bit of a mouthful, I'm usually quite free since I'm very academically inclined. I'm always up for a photo shoot; it's all about expanding my port and personal horizons.
