Sweaters - Comfort ZoneStreet Style, Nov 16, 2011
Fall has never been so warm and colorful like this year. Eventually, it's going to get chilly in the next few weeks, and to boost my "pre-sub zero" mood I started to think about sweaters. This year I picture BIG.
It's all about volume, chunky cable knits, waffle-stitch wool blends, funky colors and bold crazy prints. You don't have to go to far to find your favorite sweater. I am certain that most of us have that cozy "cold weather friendly" staple.
For those of you still hunting for a new cool sweater, I have a few suggestions. Opt for an over-sized shape or asymmetric hem to layer with sheer tees.
Also, try investing in a warm and cozy turtleneck sweater, after all it's all about the neck. Nobody wants to get sick before holidays! And did I mention that you can also skip the scarf? ;)
Here is my latest addition to my sweaters family - the BCBG Maylin cabled sweater. It comes in red and creamy-beige. This sweater is very versatile, and you can wear it with pants, skirts and dresses. This time I pared it with cut out denim shorts and opaque tights.
